According to a news report, some archaeologists and researchers have found the remains of a 16th century woman buried with a brick in her mouth to keep her from feeding. It seems that the locals thought the vampire was spreading a form of pestilence. Read more here.

On the April 13th 2008 show, Ian Punnett interviewed a guest on Coast to Coast that claimed to be able to see UFOs in the night sky using 3rd generation night vision goggles. The researcher’s name is Ed Grimsley, and his claims have lead to the production of a DVD which shows some of these ships in action – only miles above the Earth’s surface.

This warrants an investigation. I would like to find a pair of night vision goggles that would be powerful enough to look up into the night sky and see if there is indeed something up there. Can’t hurt to look, right?

Something alarming jumps out when you look at the Black Plague period of Europe, also known as the Black Death. No, it isn’t the fact that the population of Europe dwindled about in half during this time span (estimates range between 30% to 60%). Nor is it the fact that the plague is believed to have been originated in Central Asia and India. It is the fact that the first period in Europe killed so many in only 4 years.

Between 1347-1350 about 50% of Europe’s population was wiped out.

That is an alarming rate of death and interestingly, the plauges would return about once a generation, decimating the population, until the 17th century.

Typically, the theory is that the bubonic plague, or Yersinia pestis, is what infected the population – spread by fleas – and due to the culture at the time with a lack of sophisticated hygiene. Yet there is another theory – some suggest that a “men in black” group was behind the plague, spreading the plague in an airborn fashion as it was described to be a mist that would wipe out these major centers of civilization in Europe.

At any rate, some are pointing to frescos painted by Luca Signorelli found at the cathedral in Orvieto, Italy – a place I have visited many times. It is a beautiful cathedral, but I must confess I never really had time to take in the Signorelli paintings in great detail so needless to say, the fact that this theory is out there is one thing but the fact that Signorelli somehow depicted these men in black is extraordinary. That looks like a special effect from Star Wars. Not sure if I buy that one but more shocking to me at least is that is supposed to be a statue of St. Peter – why is he nude?

Found this on World Net Daily. In a picture of this couple there appears over the shoulder of the man what looks like a dog’s head with teeth and yellow eyes. Perhaps I should let you look at it first then tell you…whatever. Take a look.

A Colorado man reports he was able to kick his drug habit after a photograph of him at a relative’s anniversary celebration showed – literally – a demon on his shoulder.

Joe Martinez told Fox 31 News in Denver that drugs were killing his soul.

But he’s now on the road to recovery because of the photograph.

“I look at it and I carry it wherever I go,” he told the television station.

The photo showed a typically smiling couple at a anniversary reception. What it also shows is what Martinez’s wife, Patty, describes as “Satan.”

“Right away I really thought, I said, ‘You’re really walking with Satan’,” she said.
