New Acropolis Museum a Triumph Combining Classical With Modern

I recently returned from a trip to Italy and Greece and one of the destinations I made a point of visiting while in Athens was the new Acropolis Museum. The museum was opened June 20, 2009 and I was able to visit it on July 2, 2009 – so the paint was still fresh and the gleam was shiny as was the glass in the structure.

Very interesting thing pointed out to me yesterday – Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Apparently it is a man-made lake and when the city was founded, the developers had the bright idea of purchasing the London Bridge and sticking it there as a fixture for the city. And it is the real thing. Not to mention, some of the vistas are quite spectacular. Read more about it here.
